Faces

While Tom and Erica were visiting earlier this month, a park nearby had a grand opneing celebration. I was working, but I guess they were there early enough to get the full on face painting done. Quite the images. Just to clarify - Tom does not have face paint on. :0)

Pretend Primary

These are a couple of pictures taken before church of Mia and Wyatt playing "Primary". In the first one Wyatt is saying the opening prayer and the one after, Mia is the pianist and Wyatt is singing the opening song. In times like this, you almost forget they don't spend half their time fighting with each other.

The Carlsens think they can dance

I apologize for the four videos, they are all basically the same thing but we couldn't decide which of the hilarious ones to cut so I put them all on. A couple of months ago we were getting ready for bed and watching "So you think you can dance" on TV. Ryan and Mia thought, "Hey that doesn't look so hard, and actually it kinda looks like they are having fun - lets copy them!" What followed had us in stitches.

Here is a video of Ryan reading a book to Wyatt. You don't get the beginning because I was trying to sneak up without being noticed. Mia ruins it by whining through the whole thing and I had to end early because the twins were too interested in actually seeing/playing with the camera. But you get the idea. He is actually quite a super reader, picking up new words every day. No wonder he thinks Kindergarten is a little on the boring side!
